Emerson has unveiled its latest innovation, the AVENTICS™ Series XV pneumatic valves, designed to enhance automation flexibility and optimize flow across various industries and factory automation applications. This new valve series offers machine builders and end users a versatile and cost-effective platform, featuring interoperability and global compatibility with universal threads and regional standards.
The Series XV valves deliver increased flow rates within a compact design, enhancing pneumatic system efficiency for applications in factory automation, automotive, tire manufacturing, and food packaging. This capability not only boosts productivity but also enables manufacturers to tailor products to specific market needs and customer preferences.
Wolf Gerecke, director of product marketing for Emerson’s machine automation business, emphasized the importance of high-performance technology in meeting evolving market demands. He highlighted the Series XV valves’ optimized flow, extensive valve selection, and comprehensive accessory portfolio as key benefits driving operational agility and flexibility.
Key features include the XV03 model, offering flow volumes up to 350 liters per minute (NL/min) under normal conditions, and the upcoming XV05 model, set for release in October 2024, with a capacity of up to 880 NL/min.
Built on proven AVENTICS core technology, Series XV valves feature robust construction with metal threads, parallel wiring, aluminum base plates, and compact dimensions, facilitating seamless integration into diverse production system designs.
The valves support simplified connectivity through consistent interfaces, accommodating single wiring and parallel connections like D-SUB connectors. They also integrate seamlessly into machine control networks with support for leading fieldbus protocols such as PROFINET®, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Powerlink, Modbus TCP, IO-Link, and AS-I.
Ease of commissioning is another highlight, aided by the AVENTICS online configurator for system layout and comprehensive system documentation that expedites machine development.
