Wallbox (NYSE: WBX), a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The newly elected directors are Jordi Lainz, who previously served as Wallbox CFO for nearly six years; Ferdinand Schlutius, Co-CEO of ABL, a pioneering EV charging solutions company in Germany acquired by Wallbox in 2023; and Paolo Campinoti, Executive Vice President for EMEA, APAC, and LATAM at Generac, a minority investor in Wallbox. Detailed biographies of the new directors are provided below.
Jordi Lainz, Former CFO, Wallbox: Mr. Lainz has been appointed as a board member. He was the Chief Financial Officer of Wallbox from 2019 to 2024. Before joining Wallbox, he served as Corporate Director and CFO of Eurofred Group, a distributor of air conditioning and industrial heating systems, from June 2011 to February 2019. He also served as a director and audit committee member of Ficosa International, S.A., a global automotive supplier, from May 1998 to May 2011. Mr. Lainz holds an Economics degree from the University of Barcelona and is a certified auditor in Spain.
Ferdinand Schlutius, ABL Co-CEO: Mr. Schlutius joins the board as a member. He is currently the Co-CEO of ABL, a leader in EV charging solutions in Germany and the fourth company to join the Wallbox Group. Previously, he was the Head of Sales for ABL Group. Mr. Schlutius holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from WU Vienna.
Paolo Campinoti, Executive Vice President – International, Generac: Mr. Campinoti has been appointed to the board. He has served as Executive Vice President with commercial responsibility for EMEA, APAC, and LATAM since Generac acquired the Pramac Group in 2016. Based in Italy, he continues to serve as the CEO of the Pramac Group, a role he has held since 1995. Over his 25-year tenure, he has transformed Pramac from a local Italian company into a globally recognized power generation manufacturer. Mr. Campinoti holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Florence and has served in various honorary and leadership roles, including Chairman of the Industrial Business Association for the South of Tuscany and honorary consul of Romania and Bahrain in Florence.
