Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai Motor) and TVS Motor Company Ltd. (TVS Motor) have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to advance the development and commercialization of innovative electric three-wheeled (E3W) solutions specifically designed to meet last-mile mobility needs in India.
The partnership, formalized after the successful presentation of the E3W concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, represents a significant step towards bringing customized mobility solutions to Indian consumers and reinforces both companies’ commitment to sustainable urban transportation.
According to the agreement, Hyundai Motor will lead the design and co-development of the E3W, leveraging its expertise in research and development, advanced mobility technologies, and human-centered design approach.

TVS Motor will co-develop the product using its state-of-the-art electric platform, extensive experience in tricycle engineering, and deep knowledge of the local market. Leveraging its long legacy of reliability and focus on quality, TVS will also lead local sales, with its manufacturing operations in India meeting Indian market demand and future exports.
