Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest industrial automation and digital transformation company, today announced that its Singapore facility has been designated a member of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Lighthouse Network. This distinction recognizes the facility for its large-scale implementation of advanced technologies that deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and workforce empowerment.
Rockwell’s Singapore site particularly distinguished itself in the “productivity” category, demonstrating its transformation into a highly flexible and data-driven operation. Through the deployment of more than 50 digital and AI-based solutions – including intelligent automation, AI-driven quality control, and predictive maintenance – the site improved production throughput, reduced defects, and accelerated employee onboarding and training.
“This award demonstrates how Rockwell is implementing leading-edge automation technologies not just at a single site, but also in a way that allows us to deploy them at scale across our global operations and for our customers,” said Bob Buttermore, senior vice president and chief supply chain officer at Rockwell Automation. “Our goal is to turn data into decisions and AI into tangible results, helping manufacturers build the factories of the future that are more resilient, adaptive, and productive.”
According to the World Economic Forum, this latest batch of “Lighthouse” sites demonstrates how AI is now becoming central to operations, enabling organizations to improve decision-making, accelerate innovation, and continuously optimize their performance.
Rockwell’s participation in the Global Lighthouse Network connects the company to a global community of leading manufacturing companies driving industrial transformation. Through this collaboration, Rockwell will share best practices and work alongside other Lighthouse Network members to accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across all sectors and regions.
“The world’s leading manufacturers are no longer simply optimizing individual processes; they are completely rethinking their operational systems,” said Kiva Allgood, Managing Director at the World Economic Forum. “The latest Lighthouse sites demonstrate how intelligence is now being integrated into the very core of operations, enabling organizations to react faster, learn continuously, and achieve new levels of performance across their value chains.”
This recognition reinforces Rockwell’s commitment to helping manufacturers move from pilot programs to large-scale transformation, combining data, automation and AI to generate concrete and measurable results for the business.
