Rocket Lab USA, Inc. (Nasdaq: RKLB) has announced that Dr. Sven Strohband, after dedicating 11 years of service, will not seek re-election to the Company’s Board of Directors at the 2024 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. Dr. Strohband, a member of Rocket Lab’s Board of Directors since 2013, currently serves as Managing Director at venture capital firm Khosla Ventures. With a background as a seasoned venture capital investor and deep tech leader, he has previously held positions leading technical diligence at Mohr Davidow Ventures for six years, and has contributed to technical projects at Stanford University and the Electronics Research Lab of Volkswagen.
Rocket Lab founder and CEO Peter Beck expressed appreciation for Dr. Strohband’s unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions throughout the company’s journey. Beck remarked, “Sven has been an indispensable asset to Rocket Lab since our earliest days, providing invaluable insight and support through pivotal moments such as funding rounds, our inaugural Electron launch, NASDAQ listing, and expansion into space systems. Dr. Strohband will continue to fulfill his duties on Rocket Lab’s board until the 2024 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, scheduled for June 12, 2024.
