Ferrari has once again clinched the prestigious top design honor bestowed by the German Red Dot Awards association. This time, it’s the Ferrari Roma Spider, embodying the essence of the Cavallino Rampante with its sophisticated 2+ mid-engined open-top design featuring a retractable soft top. The Roma Spider secures the coveted Red Dot: Best of the Best award in the Product Design category.
Noteworthy among Ferrari’s achievements are the two additional Red Dot Awards earned by the SF90 XX Stradale, a special limited-edition model boasting a plug-in hybrid powertrain delivering a remarkable 1030 cv, and the KC23, a futuristic One-Off based on the chassis of the 488 GT3 Evo 2020, characterized by its unique dual bodywork configuration.
The Red Dot Award stands as a pinnacle in the realm of industrial design, honoring innovation and excellence within the industry. Celebrating its 70th year, the awards ceremony is slated for June 24, 2024, in Essen, Germany.
Over the last decade, Ferrari has amassed an impressive tally of 29 Red Dot Awards, a testament to its unwavering commitment to design excellence. Since 2015, Ferrari has clinched 10 Red Dot: Best of the Best accolades for remarkable models like the FXX-K, 488 GTB, J50, Portofino, Monza SP1, SF90 Stradale, Daytona SP3, Purosangue, and Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo. This year, the spotlight shines on the Ferrari Roma Spider for its exceptional design.
These awards underscore the remarkable endeavors of the Ferrari Styling Centre, helmed by Flavio Manzoni, in crafting extraordinary vehicles that honor the brand’s legendary heritage while pioneering new design languages and innovations, all while maintaining the quintessential Ferrari DNA of form meeting function seamlessly.
