The inception of MOGAS Industries dates back to 1973, when Louis Mogas acquired a modest machine shop in Houston. Shortly thereafter, he secured the rights to manufacture and service ball valves from Cameron Iron Works. Louis’ visionary leadership propelled MOGAS towards innovative frontiers, establishing an esteemed Research and Development department to engineer bespoke valve solutions for diverse industrial applications. Since the turn of the millennium, the company has expanded its footprint globally, establishing sales offices and service hubs across continents, including Australia, China, Europe, Canada, South America, the Middle East, and India.
From its nascent stages, Louis Mogas instilled a set of business principles that underpin MOGAS’ core values – fostering a culture where every individual is empowered, infusing work with excitement, and prioritizing ethical conduct. His conviction that work should be both fulfilling and noble, and that unity defines the MOGAS family, remains the cornerstone of the company’s corporate ethos.
Louis garnered numerous accolades throughout his tenure, including recognition from The Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies, multiple Best Companies to Work For in Texas awards, accolades for supplier excellence, and distinctions such as Texas Family Large Business of the Year Finalist and Best Quality Product.
