Debut of the Latest Mercedes-Benz Atego on Dutch Roads

Vonk en Co BV Introduces New Mercedes-Benz Atego Fleet in the Netherlands Vonk en Co BV, an international haulage company, has recently deployed seven out of their 13 newly acquired Mercedes-Benz Atego trucks into operation. These vehicles, equipped with box bodies, serve as replacements for their previous fleet, which had been in service for over nine years. Fleet manager John van Hattem expressed satisfaction, stating, “The Ategos have consistently delivered outstanding performance in recent years, and we anticipate at least eight years of reliable service from these new additions.”

The decision to continue with the Atego was influenced by several key factors, including the spacious cab, high reliability, and positive relationship with the dealer. The Mercedes-Benz Atego, a mainstay in production for over 25 years, has undergone continuous refinement and modernization.

Operating primarily within the Netherlands, the new trucks are engaged in daily distribution tasks, notably transporting white goods from Vonk en Co’s distribution center in Tiel. Van Hattem elaborated on their choice of the Atego, stating, “The Atego’s compact size and agile handling make it perfect for distribution haulage. Additionally, we value the reliability of the Atego and invest in service contracts to ensure our fleet remains in optimal condition throughout its lifespan. Our strong partnership with the dealer further enhances our confidence in this choice.”

True to their signature style, all Atego trucks in the Vonk en Co fleet feature a striking red cab with a black box body.
