Cyclic Materials appoints Tomasz Poznar as Chief Commercial Officer to accelerate its global business growth

Cyclic Materials , a rare earth recycling company that is building a circular supply chain for rare earths and critical materials, today announced the appointment of Tomasz Poznar, Ph.D., as Chief Commercial Officer. This appointment strengthens Cyclic Materials’ leadership team as the company accelerates its business expansion in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Most recently, Mr. Poznar served as Chief Commercial Officer at Ascend Elements, where he led the company’s global commercial strategy, strategic partnerships, and business development. During his tenure, he helped close commercial deals totaling over US$1.5 billion, including a landmark US$1 billion supply agreement with a major global automaker, while also facilitating approximately US$320 million in TCTF public funding that accelerated the company’s growth in North America and Europe.

Before joining Ascend Elements, Mr. Poznar held management and engineering positions at A123 Systems, EnerDel, Delco Remy, and Volvo, where he contributed to the commercialization of cutting-edge technologies and the establishment of strategic partnerships across the battery and electrification value chain. He holds a PhD in Engineering from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Mr. Poznar joins Cyclic Materials at a pivotal moment in the company’s growth, as it expands its business operations in North America, Europe, and Asia. As Chief Commercial Officer, he will lead Cyclic’s global commercial strategy, accelerating partnerships with customers and raw material suppliers while building the commercial organization necessary to support the company’s next phase of growth. His appointment comes as global demand for rare earth elements is projected to triple by 2035, driving increased investment in secure, regional supply chains for critical minerals.

“The market is entering a new era where securing domestic and scalable sources of critical raw materials is becoming an economic and commercial imperative. Cyclic Materials has a unique commercial platform to make a difference and is building the partnerships needed to make circular rare earth sourcing a commercial reality,” said Mr. Poznar. “I am excited to help accelerate Cyclic’s commercial growth, paving the way for an increased supply of rare earths that will be essential for sectors such as automotive, artificial intelligence, defense, energy, robotics, and industrial systems.”

“Cyclic Materials has reached an exciting stage in its growth. We have demonstrated our technology, established a solid foundation of strategic partnerships, and are now focused on developing our commercial platform globally,” said Ahmad Ghahreman, founder and CEO of Cyclic Materials. “Tomasz brings exactly the experience we were looking for to lead this next phase. His proven track record of forging strategic partnerships and closing complex commercial deals in the critical materials sector makes him an exceptional addition to our leadership team.”

About Cyclic Materials

Cyclic Materials is focusing on building a resilient supply chain for rare earth elements (REEs) and other critical materials by recycling end-of-life products containing magnets. The company recovers and refines high-purity recycled REE oxides, which are then reintroduced into the industrial supply chain to manufacture new permanent magnets essential to the automotive, artificial intelligence, robotics, defense, electronics, energy, medical, industrial, and other advanced technology sectors. Building on the success of its commercial demonstration and initial deliveries of high-purity recycled REE oxides to customers, the company is rapidly scaling its leading-edge technology commercially in the United States and globally to create a secure, nationwide circular supply of REEs.
