Carolina Panthers NFL Team Visits Daimler Truck Employees in Leinfelden

Employees at Daimler Truck AG’s headquarters in Leinfelden-Echterdingen were thrilled to host a special visitor group: the Carolina Panthers NFL team. As part of their “Keep Pounding” Germany tour, the players and their entourage traveled in a Mercedes-Benz Travego bus. Since 2017, Daimler Truck North America (“DTNA”) has proudly sponsored the Carolina Panthers and will continue supporting them in the upcoming NFL season. The Panthers are scheduled to play against the New York Giants at Munich’s Allianz Arena on November 10th.

Hundreds of employees gathered at the piazza outside the Daimler Truck Campus to catch a glimpse of the American football stars and collect autographs. Panthers players Sam Franklin Jr. (#42, safety) and Ikem Ekwonu (#79, left tackle), along with cheerleaders and mascot “Sir Purr,” made a memorable stop in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, posing for photos and engaging with Daimler Truck employees.

John O’Leary, a member of Daimler Truck’s Board of Management overseeing the North America region, warmly greeted the Carolina Panthers in front of their tour bus. Reflecting on the partnership since 2017, O’Leary emphasized the shared dedication of both organizations’ teams to their respective goals, despite the contrast in their final products. He anticipated an exciting game in Munich later in the year.

DTNA, with its strong presence in North and South Carolina employing over 7,000 people, has cultivated a close relationship with the Charlotte-based Carolina Panthers since their NFL inception in 1995. Beyond brand promotion, the partnership focuses on employee engagement and joint involvement in local community initiatives. This collaboration has enriched the communities where DTNA operates, evident in initiatives such as the annual Daimler Truck North America Toy Drive, where Panthers fans and DTNA employees join forces to support families in need.
