This growth comes through the acquisition of 32 Rescar operations strategically located throughout the United States, a move that significantly enhances PSC’s capabilities and geographic reach in the railcar service sector.

Founded in 1969, Rescar has been a trusted provider of railcar repair, inspection, cleaning, switching, and maintenance services for over five decades. Its extensive network of operations has earned a strong reputation for high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The acquisition of these facilities represents a strategic effort by PSC to broaden its service offerings and provide customers with a more robust and efficient repair and maintenance network.

With this acquisition, PSC’s combined railcar repair, cleaning, and inspection business now spans 40 states, strengthening its ability to meet the increasing demand for high-quality, timely railcar services. The expanded operation will include 35 on-site mini-shop repair service locations and a network of 25 mobile repair hubs equipped with over 100 mobile repair trucks, ensuring rapid response times and efficient service delivery for customers across the country.

The comprehensive suite of services offered by PSC includes tank car and service equipment qualification, lining and coating repair, railcar cleaning, railroad repair agent services, inspection services, and freight car running repairs. This broad range of expertise makes PSC a one-stop solution for railcar maintenance, repair, and safety compliance.

A key component of PSC’s railcar repair expansion will be the establishment of its Railcar Repair Headquarters at the Bayport Rail Terminal, strategically located near the Houston Ship Channel. This headquarters will serve as the central hub for PSC’s executive leadership team, its Customer Service Excellence Center, and its Troubleshooting departments, ensuring seamless coordination and high standards of service across all locations.
