Existing shareholders contributed an additional $125 million through follow-on investments, demonstrating continued confidence in the company’s long-term prospects. Among them, the Korea Development Bank (KDB), one of FuriosaAI’s major existing shareholders, invested another $22 million.

All three of FuriosaAI’s original seed investors—NAVER, DSC Investment and KDB Capital—participated in the latest round. Their continued involvement highlights the company’s ability to maintain support from early backers as it advances from research and development toward broader commercial operations.

DSC Investment first invested in FuriosaAI in 2017 and has participated in every financing round since the company’s seed stage. NAVER initially supported the business through NAVER D2SF, its early-stage investment arm, while its investment in the Series D round was made through NAVER Ventures, NAVER’s Silicon Valley-based investment platform.

“We look for the moment a technology company moves from proving its technology to proving its business. FuriosaAI is at that point now, with its chip in volume production and in deployment with customers,” said Yong Jung Park, General Partner of NAVER Ventures.

Park added that NAVER Ventures aims to help FuriosaAI expand in North America, where the investor believes it can contribute its regional expertise and support the company’s international growth.

Additional Korean Investors Strengthen Funding Support

Nextrans and Kakao Investment also participated in the Series D financing. Both firms became FuriosaAI shareholders during its Series C bridge round in 2025 and increased their commitments as the company progressed toward mass production and global commercialization.

The round also attracted new Korean institutional investors. The Export-Import Bank of Korea selected FuriosaAI for its first direct investment in a startup, marking a notable development in the company’s financing history.

Korea’s United Asset Management Company (UAMCO) committed $30 million, becoming the largest new domestic investor after the National Growth Fund. Hanwha Asset Management also joined the round.

The broad investor participation provides FuriosaAI with financial backing as it seeks to expand production capacity and establish a larger presence in the competitive AI accelerator market. The involvement of investors from different sectors and regions also reflects growing interest in specialized computing hardware designed for AI workloads.

RNGD Commercial Deployments Drive Growth

FuriosaAI’s RNGD AI inference accelerator is central to the company’s expansion strategy. The company has moved beyond chip development into production and customer deployments, an important step for semiconductor businesses seeking to establish long-term commercial viability.

June Paik, Co-Founder and CEO of FuriosaAI, said the Series D financing reflects international investor confidence in the company’s technology and execution capabilities.

“This Series D financing marks an important milestone for FuriosaAI and reflects the confidence of investors around the world in our technology and ability to execute,” Paik said. “We are particularly encouraged by the participation of investors with deep expertise and experience in the global AI semiconductor and infrastructure industries.”

Paik said the company is entering a new phase of bringing its technology to the global AI infrastructure market at scale. The company’s priorities include accelerating RNGD commercialization and advancing Gen 3 development to help shape the next generation of AI infrastructure.
