Valmont, a global leader in infrastructure and agricultural productivity known for its technological innovation, has announced the appointment of Thomas Liguori as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Liguori will oversee the company’s global finance and accounting operations and report directly to Avner M. Applbaum, President and Chief Executive Officer.
With over 30 years of finance experience, Mr. Liguori brings a wealth of expertise to Valmont, including substantial experience as CFO for several public companies. Most recently, he served as CFO at Fortna LLC, a private-equity-backed firm specializing in advanced distribution centers for e-commerce and omnichannel distribution. Prior to Fortna, he was CFO at Avnet, a Fortune 200 global semiconductor distributor, where he played a crucial role in driving growth and profitability through improvements in working capital and operational efficiencies. His career spans diverse industries, including manufacturing, distribution, and technology.

Mr. Liguori holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Boston University, an MBA from Arizona State University, and has completed the Stanford University Strategic CFO Program. He has also been an adjunct professor at Chapman University, teaching graduate and executive MBA courses. Additionally, he is a Certified Management Accountant and an NACD Board Leadership Fellow.
The company also announced that Timothy P. Francis, who has served as Interim CFO and Acting Chief Accounting Officer since July 2023, will continue with Valmont as its Chief Accounting Officer, reporting to Mr. Liguori.
