Tenaris participated in the Carbon Capture Canada convention in Edmonton this week, a key event promoting carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies. The event gathered industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss ways to accelerate Canada’s decarbonization efforts.
Dave McHattie, Tenaris’s Vice President of Institutional Relations in Canada, moderated the panel “Enhancing Carbon Dioxide Transportation and Storage.” The discussion covered essential aspects of speeding up carbon capture projects, such as commercial opportunities, regulatory advancements, and technological innovations.
Panel members included Cullen Colville, Vice President of Business Development at Wolf Midstream; Matthew Brister, President of Bison Low Carbon Ventures; and Neil Wildgust, President & CEO of Carbon Management Canada.
McHattie expressed optimism, stating, “Canada has the potential to double its carbon capture infrastructure within the next five years. We have the companies, technologies, and reservoirs needed to make that happen.”
Knowledge Sharing Beyond the Panel
In addition to the panel, Jonathan Olsen, Tenaris’s Technical Sales Manager in Canada, presented at the Enbridge Knowledge Bar. He shared insights on downhole solutions for underground storage, highlighting Tenaris’s global testing initiatives and the TenarisHydril Blue® Dopeless® connection for underground storage.

The Carbon Capture Canada conference, now in its third year, attracted over 4,000 attendees and 100 exhibitors. Tenaris also showcased its technologies for Carbon Capture and Storage and Hydrogen applications at the event.
