Tenaris Launches New Casing Construction Tech at AOG 2025

The Argentina Oil & Gas Expo is preparing to welcome participants from across the global energy sector for its 15th edition, which will take place from September 8–11, 2025, at the La Rural Convention Center in Buenos Aires. The event has long been recognized as one of the Southern Cone’s most significant gatherings for oil, gas, and energy companies, providing a platform to showcase innovations, strengthen partnerships, and explore future industry opportunities.

Tenaris Highlights Commitment to Argentina’s Energy Future

Among the companies headlining AOG 2025 is Tenaris, a global leader in steel pipe manufacturing and integrated solutions for the energy industry. Over the past decade, Tenaris has deepened its contribution to Argentina’s energy landscape, particularly through its sustained role in the development of Vaca Muerta, one of the largest shale gas reservoirs in the world.

While traditionally recognized for its expertise in tubular technologies, Tenaris has steadily expanded into integrated oilfield services, aligning with the evolving needs of operators in unconventional and conventional fields. This year, the company is unveiling a new integrated solution for surface casing construction, a move that underscores its strategy to provide end-to-end solutions that boost efficiency, safety, and reliability across drilling operations.

This new solution will be formally presented on Wednesday, September 10, at 3:00 p.m. in Auditorium D. Industry professionals attending the session will gain insight into how Tenaris is applying its technological capabilities, operational knowledge, and field experience to meet the challenges of surface casing construction—a critical stage in well development.

Executive Participation and Thought Leadership

In addition to product and service announcements, Tenaris’s leadership will play an active role in the AOG program. Andrea Previtali, Tenaris President for the Southern Cone, will join the highly anticipated “Talk with the CEOs” panel on Wednesday, September 10, at 5:30 p.m. This session brings together top executives to exchange perspectives on current market dynamics, regional challenges, and the strategic directions shaping the energy industry.

Previtali will be joined by Adrián Martínez, Calfrac General Director in Argentina; Jorge Vidal, SLB Managing Director for Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile; and Héctor Gutiérrez, Halliburton VP in Argentina. The conversation promises to highlight not only technological innovation but also the role of collaboration and policy in supporting Argentina’s long-term energy ambitions.

Booth Presence and Digital Showcase

Visitors to booth 2F-20 will encounter an immersive digital experience featuring Tenaris and its sister companies, Tecpetrol and Techint Engineering & Construction. Through this joint showcase, the companies will highlight their collective contributions to projects that span exploration, drilling, infrastructure, and production support.

The booth will serve as a hub for networking, offering attendees an interactive way to learn about recent achievements and ongoing initiatives while also illustrating the Techint Group’s broader role in supporting Argentina’s energy development.

Technical Sessions and Knowledge Exchange

Tenaris’s involvement extends into the technical program of the 5th Well Perforation, Completion and Intervention Latin American Congress, which runs alongside the expo. The congress, organized by the Instituto Argentino de Petróleo y Gas (IAPG), is a respected forum where industry experts present research, case studies, and field applications.
