Tenaris has inaugurated the Tenaris Lab at the ITQAN Institute in Juaymah, Saudi Arabia. The new laboratory includes state-of-the-art equipment donated by Tenaris as part of the company’s Technical Gene Program, specifically designed to enhance students’ theoretical and practical knowledge through access to specialized industrial machinery.
Located just 55km from Jubail and 80km from Dammam, ITQAN stands as a cutting-edge nonprofit training institute resulting from collaborative efforts between Saudi Aramco and the Technical & Vocational Training Corporation. With premium connection threading facilities in Dammam, and SaudiSteelPipes ERW facility along with the Global Pipe Company LSAW facility in Jubail, Tenaris has an extensive presence in the area.
At Tenaris, we firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of individual and societal development, creating pathways to opportunities and fostering growth. We take pride in celebrating the opening of the Tenaris Lab at ITQAN, anticipating its integral role in preparing Saudi youth for careers in technical inspection,” said Renwar Berzinji, Tenaris President for operations in Saudi Arabia.
This initiative underscores Tenaris’s commitment to training a skilled technical workforce for the oil and gas industry, reinforcing support for Saudi Arabia’s energy objectives. Berzinji added, “Together, let us forge a path toward a brighter future for Saudi students, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to society.”
The Technical Gene program strengthens technical education across the countries and communities where Tenaris operates, investing in infrastructure, training, internships, and professional practice programs to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the technical knowledge acquired by students.
