Surf Air Mobility (NYSE: SRFM) (“Surf Air Mobility” or the “Company”), a leading air mobility platform, announced today that Company executives attended the launch meeting for Project Nexus on Thursday, September 10, at Alliance Field in Fort Worth, Texas (AFW). Project Nexus is the Federal Aviation Administration’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP) initiative awarded to North Texas, bringing together a coalition of the industry’s leading eVTOL manufacturers, including BETA Technologies (“BETA”), Joby Aviation, and Archer Aviation.
The program is designed to establish the operational, regulatory, and infrastructure framework needed to integrate electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft into the national airspace. Surf Air Mobility’s attendance reinforces its position as the platform that eVTOL and Advanced Air Mobility manufacturers will rely on to bring next-generation aircraft into commercial service. The Company has developed SurfOS, its proprietary AI-enabled software powered by Palantir Technologies, and operates a Part 135 scheduled airline, giving the Company the operational infrastructure, air carrier expertise, and commercial network required to help advance eVTOL aircraft from certification into passenger and cargo service.
Starting in June 2026, Surf Air Mobility participated in a demonstration flight program with BETA’s ALIA electric aircraft in Hawaiʻi. Hawaiʻi’s short average stage length and high-frequency interisland routes make it a model network for the introduction of electric aircraft, and Surf Air Mobility, via its scheduled airline brand, Mokulele Airlines, currently operates the largest commuter airline network in Hawai’i with approximately 112 daily flights. Surf Air Mobility has a stated goal of flying the first commercial passenger electric flight, once certified.
