SLB Secures OQEP Contract to Deliver Bisat-B Expansion Production Facility in Oman
SLB (NYSE: SLB), a global energy technology company, has secured a new contract from OQ Exploration & Production (OQEP) to deliver the Bisat-B Expansion Production Facility in Oman. The project represents another important stage in the development of the Bisat Field and extends the long-standing relationship between OQEP and SLB.
Under the agreement, SLB will provide comprehensive project delivery services covering design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the expanded production facility. The company will also provide four years of operations and maintenance support following the facility’s commissioning.
The Bisat-B expansion is designed to increase the facility’s gross fluids handling capacity to 548,000 barrels per day. The project is expected to be completed within 19 months, supporting OQEP’s continued efforts to expand production infrastructure and develop the Bisat Field.
SLB to Provide End-to-End Project Delivery
The contract gives SLB responsibility for multiple stages of the Bisat-B Expansion Production Facility, creating an integrated delivery model that spans the project lifecycle.
SLB’s scope includes the design and engineering of the facility, procurement of required equipment and materials, construction activities and commissioning. Once the facility enters operation, SLB will continue supporting OQEP through a four-year operations and maintenance agreement.

SLB previously delivered the Bisat-A facility in 2018, followed by the original Bisat-B facility in 2020. The latest contract therefore represents a continuation of an established project relationship between the two companies.
