Siemens, NVIDIA Deepen Partnership to Build AI-Driven Industrial Operating System

Thanks to AI, Siemens and NVIDIA are reinventing the entire industrial value chain, from end to end, from design and engineering to manufacturing, production, operations and supply chains.

Siemens and NVIDIA today announced a significant expansion of their strategic partnership to bring artificial intelligence into the real world. Together, the two companies aim to develop industrial and physical AI solutions that will bring AI-driven innovations to all industrial sectors and processes, while accelerating their respective operations.To support development, NVIDIA will provide AI infrastructure, simulation libraries, models, frameworks and blueprints, while Siemens will make available hundreds of industrial AI experts and state-of-the-art hardware and software.

Accelerating the entire industrial lifecycle:


Siemens and NVIDIA will collaborate to develop AI-accelerated industrial solutions across the entire product and production lifecycle, enabling faster innovation, continuous optimization, and more resilient and sustainable manufacturing. The two companies aim to build the world’s first fully AI-driven adaptive manufacturing facilities, starting in 2026, using the Siemens Electronics Factory in Erlangen, Germany, as a model.

Thanks to an “AI brain” powered by industrial automation and operations software, combined with NVIDIA Omniverse libraries and NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure, factories can continuously analyze their digital twins, virtually test improvements, and turn validated insights into operational changes on the ground.

This results in faster and more reliable decision-making, from design to deployment, increasing productivity while reducing time to market and risk. Companies want to extend these capabilities to key vertical sectors, and several customers are already evaluating some of these capabilities, including Foxconn, HD Hyundai, KION Group, and PepsiCo.

With the expansion of this partnership, Siemens will complete GPU acceleration across its entire simulation portfolio and extend support for NVIDIA CUDA-X libraries and AI-based physics models, enabling customers to run larger, more accurate simulations faster. Building on this foundation, the two companies will move toward generative simulation, using NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo and open models to deliver autonomous digital twins capable of providing real-time engineering design and autonomous optimization.

Advancing Electronic Design Automation for Accelerated Computing:


By applying the operational logic of industrial AI to semiconductors and AI factories, Siemens and NVIDIA will accelerate the engines of the AI ​​revolution. Starting with semiconductor design and leveraging NVIDIA’s extensive use of Siemens tools, Siemens will integrate NVIDIA CUDA-X libraries, PhysicsNeMo, and GPU acceleration across its entire EDA portfolio, with a particular focus on verification, place-route, and process optimization, to target 2x to 10x performance gains on key workflows.

This partnership will also enable the addition of AI-assisted features, such as layout guidance, debugging assistance, and circuit optimization, to improve engineering productivity while meeting stringent manufacturability requirements. Together, these features will advance native AI engines for design, verification, manufacturability, and digital twin approaches to shorten design cycles, improve throughput, and deliver more reliable results.

Designing the next generation of AI factories


Siemens and NVIDIA will also jointly develop a repeatable model for next-generation AI factories, accelerating the AI ​​industrial revolution and providing a high-performance foundation for their AI-optimized industrial portfolios.

This plan will help balance the next generation’s high-density computing requirements in terms of power, cooling, and automation, while ensuring that technologies optimize both speed and efficiency throughout the entire lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and operation.

This collaboration combines NVIDIA’s AI platform roadmap, its expertise in AI infrastructure, its partner ecosystem, and the accelerated power of simulation based on the NVIDIA Omniverse library with Siemens’ strengths in power infrastructure, electrification, network integration, automation, and digital twins. Together, the two companies aim to accelerate the deployment, increase energy efficiency, and improve the resilience of AI infrastructure at industrial scale worldwide.

Optimizing Operations Through Shared Innovation:


Siemens and NVIDIA aim to accelerate their operations and expand their respective portfolios by implementing technologies on their own systems before deploying them at scale across various industries. NVIDIA will evaluate Siemens’ offerings to streamline and optimize its own operations and offerings, while Siemens will assess its own workloads and collaborate with NVIDIA to accelerate them and integrate AI into Siemens’ customer portfolio.
