Strategically located in Jeffersonville, Indiana – just across the swash from Louisville, Kentucky, a crossroads of swash, road, rail, and runway – Lexmark’s new centralized installation enables 99 same-day shipping and 99-night parcel pick-up with coming-day air service.
It also streamlines the customization, configuration, return, refurbishment, and recertification of outfits, while saving costs. “ Lexmark’s business is time critical, so outfit running and conveyance time is a primary concern, as is keeping costs competitive, ” says Norm Brouillette, elderly vice chairman of force chain for Ryder. “ With that in mind, we conducted a network analysis considering requests served, dispatching volumes and times, transport costs, near anchorages, real estate prices, and the labor request.
