RPM International Inc. has announced that Edward W. Moore, the company’s senior vice president, general counsel, and chief compliance officer, will retire by the end of 2024. Tracy D. Crandall, currently serving as vice president of compliance and sustainability and associate general counsel, has been appointed as the new vice president, general counsel, and chief compliance officer, effective October 4, 2024. Moore will remain as corporate counsel until his retirement.
Moore joined RPM in 2006 as vice president and general counsel, later assuming the title of chief compliance officer in 2011 and being elected senior vice president in 2013. During his tenure, he oversaw the legal and compliance departments, as well as the internal audit team, as RPM’s revenue grew from $3 billion to over $7 billion. Before joining RPM, he spent nearly 25 years at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP, where he held several positions, including member of the executive committee, chair of the associates committee, and co-chair of the securities and capital markets group. Moore is also a former director of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and a former council commissioner for the Greater Cleveland Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Crandall has been with RPM since 2010, initially joining as associate general counsel before being elected vice president in 2015. In 2021, her title was expanded to include compliance to reflect her oversight of compliance initiatives throughout the company. In 2022, she took on additional responsibilities related to sustainability, leading RPM’s global initiative, “Building a Better World.” Prior to her role at RPM, Crandall was a partner at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP and served as commercial counsel at GE Lighting. She has also been involved with several organizations, serving on the boards of Beech Brook, the YMCA of Greater Cleveland, and the Great Lakes Science Center. Crandall earned her bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University and her J.D. from Cleveland State University.
“Ed has been an exceptional leader, embodying the values of transparency, trust, and respect throughout his tenure. His contributions to driving the Values & Expectations of 168 have been vital to RPM’s success,” said Frank C. Sullivan, RPM chairman and CEO. “We are grateful for Ed’s leadership and commitment to RPM and are excited to welcome Tracy to this important role. We have confidence in her experience and believe she will continue to provide outstanding legal oversight across the company.”
