Perficient, a leading global digital consultancy, has announced that it will host a workshop on building a connected car strategy at Reuters Automotive USA 2024 in Detroit. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, October 22, at 11:10 a.m. ET. As vehicles become more integrated with advanced, high-bandwidth networks, automakers face both opportunities and challenges in developing connected car strategies that enhance customer engagement, strengthen brand loyalty, and improve operational efficiency. A key focus of this strategy involves integrating consumer insights to meet evolving demands.
During the session, Perficient will explore the business implications of connected products and services, including issues related to security, privacy, and their impact on consumer expectations. The company will also present preliminary findings from its research on connected products.
Jim Hertzfeld, Area Vice President at Perficient, will lead the workshop, discussing the influence of connected products on customer behavior, key expectations that OEMs need to address, and the core components of a successful connected products strategy. He will also share insights on launching and maintaining connected products programs, drawing from lessons learned across industries.
“Our research highlights how connected products are transforming customer expectations and offers guidance for OEMs and suppliers to stay ahead of these changes,” Hertzfeld said. “We’re excited to share these insights at the conference and explore how companies can use them to enhance mobility experiences through their products and services.”
Throughout the event, attendees can visit Perficient at booth #37 to learn more about digital transformation in the automotive industry. Visitors will also learn about Perficient’s community partner, FIRST Inspires, a global robotics organization advancing STEM education. For each booth visitor, Perficient will donate to support FIRST’s mission.
Additionally, Perficient will exhibit the University of Michigan’s MRacing Formula SAE team’s racecar at the booth, demonstrating its commitment to fostering STEM education through the “Electrifying the Future of Automotive” program. This initiative empowers college students to design and build the next generation of formula-style race cars, driving innovation in automotive engineering.
