Oshkosh Corporation Unveils Leadership Change at Oshkosh AeroTech

Oshkosh Corporation, a recognized leader in the development of purpose-built vehicles and equipment, has announced the appointment of Ranjit Nair as the new President of Oshkosh AeroTech. Nair’s appointment comes as the company prepares for the retirement of Chuck Durst, the current President, who will step down in March 2025 after a distinguished 39-year career with the organization.

Nair brings over 20 years of experience in the heavy-duty equipment sector and is joining Oshkosh from Epiroc, following its acquisition of Stanley Black & Decker’s Infrastructure business. There, Nair held the role of President of Stanley Infrastructure. Prior to his tenure at Stanley Black & Decker, Nair held various leadership positions at Deere & Company. His roles at Deere included Vice President of Global Supply Management and Chief Executive Officer of John Deere India, where he gained significant experience in managing complex operations both in the U.S. and abroad.

John Pfeifer, President and CEO of Oshkosh Corporation, expressed his enthusiasm for Nair’s appointment. “We are thrilled to welcome Ranjit to the Oshkosh AeroTech team. His extensive global leadership experience and his track record of driving technological advancements make him a perfect fit to lead our efforts in the aviation industry,” said Pfeifer. “Ranjit’s strategic vision and collaborative approach will be instrumental in accelerating our growth and expanding our reach both domestically and internationally.”

Pfeifer also took the opportunity to thank Chuck Durst for his significant contributions to the company. We are deeply grateful to Chuck for his years of dedicated service, which have been critical in positioning Oshkosh AeroTech for continued success in the future, he added.

Nair’s appointment is a clear indication of Oshkosh AeroTech’s ongoing commitment to advancing technologies such as electrification, autonomy, and connected solutions. Under Nair’s leadership, Oshkosh AeroTech aims to solidify its position as a technological leader in aviation gate and ground support operations. This vision aligns with the company’s dedication to meeting the ever-evolving demands of both passenger air travel and freight logistics.

I’m excited to join Oshkosh Corporation and lead the Oshkosh AeroTech business, said Nair. Oshkosh has built a strong reputation for delivering market-leading innovations across a diverse range of industries, all while maintaining a people-first culture. I look forward to working with the team to further enhance our offerings for the aviation sector and to delivering exceptional value to our customers.

Nair’s leadership will be crucial as Oshkosh AeroTech continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the aviation industry, including the development of cutting-edge technologies that support sustainability and efficiency in ground support equipment.

Nair holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Duke University, underscoring his strong academic foundation alongside his extensive practical experience.

As Oshkosh AeroTech continues to grow, Nair’s leadership will be pivotal in guiding the business through the dynamic and rapidly changing aviation sector. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, Oshkosh AeroTech is well-positioned for a successful future under Nair’s guidance.
