Three bus companies—“Der kleine Stuttgarter,” Hauser Reisen GmbH, and Omnibus-Reisen Günter Lüngen OHG—are modernizing their Setra coach fleets with new high-decker models.
Der kleine Stuttgarter Expands Its Setra Fleet
The Stuttgart-based family business “Der kleine Stuttgarter” is upgrading its fleet with five new Setra S 516 HD coaches, bringing their total number of Setra coaches to seven, including two TopClass 500 double-decker models. These new ComfortClass vehicles, each equipped with 49 seats and advanced driver assistance and safety systems, align perfectly with the company’s modernized image. Managing Director Udo Nehr, the second-generation leader of the business, remarked that the new coaches’ distinctive appearance is a strong representation of the company’s commitment to modernization. Founded as a taxi service in 1968 by Udo’s father, Helmut, the company now offers a wide range of travel services, including day trips, multi-day tours, and bus rentals for various group activities.
Hauser Reisen Enhances Its 5-Star Setra Fleet
Hauser Reisen GmbH continues its long-standing partnership with Setra by adding five new S 516 HD ComfortClass coaches to its fleet. This addition brings their total number of Setra coaches to 15, making Hauser Reisen the owner of the largest 5-star fleet in Baden-Württemberg. The new coaches, equipped with 42 seats featuring comfort head restraints, offer generous seat spacing of up to 81 centimeters and custom-designed rear kitchens for full on-board service. Advanced driver assistance systems from Daimler Buses, including a 360-degree camera view, ensure maximum safety for passengers. Based in the oldest city in Baden-Württemberg, Hauser Reisen offers a variety of travel services, including cruises, city tours, and hiking trips, with part of their fleet stationed at select European destinations during travel seasons to transport guests arriving by plane.
Omnibus-Reisen Günter Lüngen Adds New Setra Coaches
Omnibus-Reisen Günter Lüngen OHG is also modernizing its fleet with the acquisition of four new Setra S 516 HD coaches, now exclusively composed of the latest Setra generation. These three-axle vehicles feature 48 seats and are powered by an OM 470 engine with 315 kW (428 hp) combined with a GO 250-8 MPS automated manual transmission. The new coaches also come equipped with Active Drive Assist 2, a system that provides continuous steering interventions to maintain lane position, enabling partially automated driving across all speed ranges. Founded in 1952 in Mönchengladbach, the company, now led by Tanja Lenßen, has trusted Setra since 1975. The company offers a variety of trips focused on study, art, spa, music, comfort, and hiking.
