A Distinguished Leadership Career in Global Electronics Manufacturing
Mr. Edman’s career has been defined by more than two decades of leadership in high-technology industries, with a strong focus on electronic components, nanomanufacturing technologies, and advanced display solutions.
He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of TTM Technologies Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of printed circuit boards and radio-frequency components used in complex electronics, including defense systems, data infrastructure, and consumer technology. Mr. Edman held the CEO position from 2014 until his retirement in September 2025, helping guide the company through multiple phases of transformation, market expansion, and operational modernization. Under his leadership, TTM expanded its global footprint, strengthened its customer base in key end markets, and enhanced its technological capabilities to meet the rapidly evolving needs of the electronics industry.
Before becoming CEO, he served as President of TTM Technologies beginning in 2013 and had been a member of the company’s Board of Directors since 2004. His long association with TTM provided continuity in leadership and contributed to the company’s strategic progress and global competitiveness.
Key Roles at Applied Materials and Applied Films Corporation
Prior to his leadership at TTM Technologies, Mr. Edman held several influential positions at Applied Materials Inc., a publicly traded global leader in nanomanufacturing technology solutions used to produce semiconductor chips, displays, and other advanced electronic components.
From 2011 to 2012, he served as Group Vice President and General Manager of the AKT Display Business Group, a critical business unit focused on advanced display technologies used in televisions, smartphones, and computing devices. In this role, Mr. Edman oversaw product development, technology strategy, and operational execution for a group that played a central role in the evolution of high-performance display manufacturing.
From 2006 to 2011, he served as Corporate Vice President of Corporate Business Development, where he was responsible for identifying global growth opportunities, driving strategic partnerships, and supporting the company’s long-range planning.
