Lyst Reisen Maintains Confidence in the Successful Mercedes-Benz Citaro City Bus

The Franconian travel provider List-Reisen, based in Zollinger, is advancing its fleet modernization with the addition of 16 new Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses. These new vehicles will begin regular service in and around Würzburg starting on September 1, 2024. On August 9, 2024, Sinisa Ristic from Mercedes-Benz Buses Sales handed over 11 solo buses and five articulated buses to Lyst-Reisen’s Managing Director, Stefan Lyding, and Junior Manager, Marcel Lyding, in Neu-Ulm.

This latest delivery underscores the rapid pace at which Lyst-Reisen is updating its fleet. With this acquisition, the company has added a total of 55 Mercedes-Benz Citaro city buses to its fleet in just three years. Lyst-Reisen places a strong emphasis on functionality and cost-efficiency, areas where the Citaro has excelled for decades as a proven modular concept. The Citaro’s high level of customization and comprehensive service offerings make it the new cornerstone of Lyst-Reisen’s fleet.

As with previous purchases, the new buses have been tailored to meet the specific needs of Lyst-Reisen’s commercial fleet. The 16 new Citaro buses are equipped with a comfortably designed driver’s workplace, featuring a high safety-glass pane on the protective driver’s door. The safety package includes Sideguard Assist 2, Traffic Sign Assist, Attention Assist (AtAs), Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM), and entry and ambient lighting at door 1.

The air-conditioning system is separately adjustable for both the driver’s area and the passenger compartment. CCTV cameras monitor the payment point at door 1, the entry area at door 2, and the passenger compartment. For the interior design, Lyst-Reisen chose high-contrast accents to create a vibrant atmosphere. The yellow-green handrails complement the upholstery fabric pattern, while wood-effect PVC flooring was selected for the floors. The passenger information system is displayed on 18.5-inch TFT monitors, and all vehicles offer free Wi-Fi to passengers.
