John Deere Reman has announced plans to expand its Core Center facility by an additional 120,000 square feet. The $13.5 million expansion is set to break ground in mid-2025, with completion expected in 2026. This will increase the facility’s total size to 400,000 square feet.
Located in Strafford, Missouri, the facility is one of several John Deere Reman locations in the Springfield area. John Deere Reman specializes in remanufacturing parts and components, offering like-new performance at a lower cost while reducing environmental impact. Skilled employees use advanced techniques to restore components to their original or improved specifications.
“This is a significant milestone for us and demonstrates John Deere’s commitment to the Reman business and the local community,” said Kevin Schrag, Manager of John Deere Reman. “Our employees’ dedication to keeping customers running and their focus on remanufacturing have made this investment possible.”
John Deere began its Reman business 26 years ago as a joint venture with Springfield Remanufacturing Corporation, later acquiring the company. Today, John Deere Reman employs over 500 people and offers more than 2,000 remanufactured products worldwide, exporting one-third of its output.
