Industry leaders and researchers to discuss advanced analytical technologies supporting a carbon-neutral future
The Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers’ Association (JAIMA), an industry organization representing manufacturers of analytical and measuring instruments, continues to play a vital role in advancing science, technology, and innovation both in Japan and globally. Headquartered at 2-5-16 Kanda Nishiki-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 101-0054, JAIMA is led by President Masayuki Adachi, who also serves as President of Horiba, Ltd.JAIMA’s activities are driven by a range of specialized committees that address key areas such as technical affairs, public relations, standardization, statistical research, and intellectual property. Through these efforts, the association supports the development, reliability, and global competitiveness of analytical and measurement technologies that are essential across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, environmental protection, and advanced research.
Beyond its domestic initiatives, JAIMA is actively engaged in international collaboration. In overseas markets, the association works closely with related organizations to address pressing global challenges by leveraging analytical and measuring technologies. These collaborative efforts aim to contribute practical solutions to social and environmental issues, while also strengthening international partnerships and knowledge exchange.

As part of this global outreach, JAIMA has established an annual symposium in Bangkok, Thailand, serving as a platform for dialogue and cooperation between Japan, Thailand, and the broader international community. Building on the success of previous events, JAIMA plans to host its 2026 symposium under the theme Nanotechnology and Carbon Neutrality.”
The 2026 symposium will bring together representatives from government agencies, research institutions, academia, and related industries from both Japan and Thailand. Participants will share insights, case studies, and technological advancements focused on how cutting-edge nanotechnology can support strategies for achieving a carbon-neutral society. Key discussions will highlight the role of analytical and measurement technologies in enabling innovation, improving efficiency, and supporting sustainable development goals.
Through this symposium, JAIMA aims to foster deeper collaboration, promote the exchange of expertise, and encourage the practical application of advanced technologies to address climate change and environmental sustainability. The association warmly invites stakeholders and interested parties to participate in this important event and contribute to shaping a more sustainable, carbon-neutral future.
