GlobalLogic Appoints Srini Shankar as New President and CEO
GlobalLogic, a leading player in Digital Engineering and part of the Hitachi Group, has announced that Srinivas (Srini) Shankar, the company’s Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Head of Global Industries, will be appointed as the new President and CEO, effective February 3, 2025. He will take over from Nitesh Banga, who has decided to step down to pursue new opportunities outside of Hitachi and GlobalLogic.
Nitesh Banga joined in June 2018 and has been instrumental in the company’s remarkable growth and transformation. Under his leadership, achieved significant organic and inorganic expansion, broadened its service offerings, and solidified its position as a global leader in Design-Led Digital Engineering. One of Nitesh’s key contributions was overseeing the strategic acquisition of by Hitachi, a move that enhanced the company’s ability to leverage synergies with its parent company, especially in the expansion of ’s business in Japan. Nitesh’s leadership also supported the integration of GlobalLogic into Hitachi’s broader business, facilitating collaboration and mutual growth.

In his current position at GlobalLogic, Srini has overseen the accelerated growth of the company’s core industry business units, developed a forward-looking go-to-market strategy, and expanded GlobalLogic’s capabilities across multiple industry verticals. His leadership has been pivotal in positioning GlobalLogic for sustained success as a key player in the digital engineering space. Prior to joining GlobalLogic, Srini held significant leadership roles at Cognizant and Infosys, where he was instrumental in expanding market presence and achieving growth.
