GE HealthCare has launched the Versana Premier™, the latest addition to its Versana family of reliable, affordable, and user-friendly ultrasound systems. The Versana Premier is designed to enhance workflow and clinical efficiency through automation and AI-enabled tools, offering healthcare professionals an intuitive and versatile ultrasound solution for multiple specialties, including general practice, OBGYN, musculoskeletal (MSK), and cardiology.
Phil Rackliffe, president and CEO of Ultrasound and Image Guided Therapies at GE HealthCare, noted the growing demand for ultrasound in primary care settings due to its ability to accelerate diagnoses and improve patient outcomes. He emphasized that Versana Premier is equipped with automated tools and educational resources to support clinicians at the forefront of disease identification and diagnosis.
Key features of the Versana Premier include VisionBoost Architecture, XDclear technology, and an advanced imaging engine that delivers exceptional image quality at faster speeds. Its Whizz and Whizz Color Flow tools allow real-time image optimization, while OBGYN features like Whizz RenderLive and V-Live 2.0 enable detailed 3D/4D imaging for tracking fetal development. AI-powered tools, such as Whizz Label for automatic organ labeling and Whizz Follicle for volume calculations, further enhance clinical decision-making.
Dr. Martin Altersberger, Director of Echo Laboratory at State Hospital Steyr in Austria, praised the system’s user-friendliness and image quality, stating that it supports clinicians in a wide range of assessments and diagnoses.
As the top-tier system in the Versana family, Versana Premier is available globally, with shipments in the U.S. starting later this month following 510(k) clearance from the FDA.
