FUSO at IAA 2024
Under the slogan “The Next Generation eCanter. Makes e Work.”, FUSO is presenting two eCanter variants. One is a municipal waste collection vehicle with a KAOUSSIS body, ideal for use in European cities, offering agility, payload efficiency, and all-round visibility. The other, an 8.55 t eCanter with a box body, comes equipped with the latest safety features. Visitors will also learn about the FUSO EcoSystem and charging options and can test-drive the all-electric trucks.

Versatile Applications
Florian Schulz, Head of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Services at FUSO Europe, emphasized the wide applicability of the eCanter. With 46 variants available, the eCanter can cover 85% of conventional vehicle applications, making it easy for fleet customers and owner-operators to transition to electric mobility.

eCanter Waste Disposal Vehicle
The 8.55 t eCanter with a KAOUSSIS waste disposal body includes features like automated bin lifting, a rotating drum, and a bin washing system, offering agility for urban operations. With an 82.6 kWh battery, it delivers a range of 140 km. Greek cities Athens and Thessaloniki have already ordered 89 units for waste collection.

Freight Transport Capabilities
Another 8.55 t eCanter variant on display features a 6.2 m box body capable of holding up to 15 Euro pallets. Equipped with advanced safety features like Active Brake Assist 6 and Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), the vehicle has a range of up to 200 km, thanks to its 123.9 kWh battery pack. It also offers flexible charging options, allowing a full charge in just 40 minutes at 104 kW.

Driver Comfort and Safety
The eCanter’s interior includes a modern cab design with an LCD instrument cluster, touchscreen radio, and a low noise level. Enhanced safety features, including attention assist and tire pressure monitoring, make it ideal for both experienced and new drivers.

The FUSO EcoSystem
At the IAA, FUSO will also highlight its EcoSystem, focusing on charging solutions, service contracts, and driver training. The system aims to ease the transition to electric mobility for businesses.

Hands-On Experience
Visitors can participate in test drives of the eCanter, with options for co-driving and self-driving experiences available.
