FORVIA HELLA Showcases Future Farming Technologies at Agritechnica 2025

FORVIA HELLA Unveils Cutting-Edge Technologies for Future Agriculture at Agritechnica 2025

The international automotive supplier FORVIA HELLA is set to showcase its comprehensive portfolio for the future of agriculture at Agritechnica 2025, taking place in Hanover from November 9 to 15, 2025. Visitors can explore the innovations at Hall 17, Booth A34, where the company will highlight its latest advancements in lighting and electronic solutions, specifically designed to meet the unique demands of modern agricultural machinery. By combining safety, efficiency, and sustainability, these technologies aim to revolutionize farming operations and enhance productivity on farms worldwide.

World Premiere: Radar-Integrated Turn Assistant for Agricultural Vehicles

A major highlight of FORVIA HELLA’s exhibition is the world debut of a radar-based turning assistant, uniquely integrated into tractor mirrors. This pioneering technology represents a significant step forward in agricultural vehicle safety. “Our radar-based assistance system sets new standards and protects against dangerous collisions, particularly during left-hand turns,” explains Kristian Vuksan, Sales Director responsible for the Agriculture segment in the Lifecycle Solutions Business Group at FORVIA HELLA. “It enhances safety not only for farmers but also for vulnerable road users on country roads.”

The system can detect vehicles approaching from behind or overtaking at distances up to 80 meters. Its modular and scalable design allows flexible integration into a wide range of existing vehicle platforms. The radar-assisted turn system will become available to European customers from the second half of 2026, marking a major milestone in the company’s commitment to agricultural safety technology.

Smart Link Concept: Networked Lighting and Electronics for Efficiency and Safety

Another key focus at Agritechnica 2025 will be FORVIA HELLA’s innovative Smart Link Concept. This modular digital platform connects lighting systems, sensors, and electronic components within agricultural machinery, enabling seamless communication and control. “Digital networking simplifies system architecture, allowing data and control commands to be exchanged efficiently,” Vuksan notes. “By detecting potential hazards early and minimizing downtime, farmers can operate more safely and efficiently. Furthermore, the platform allows easy integration of new technologies, ensuring that agricultural machinery remains at the cutting edge for years to come.”

The Smart Link Concept supports advanced interior lighting solutions that combine safety and comfort with customizable RGB ambient lighting. This feature enhances driver well-being during breaks and provides clear visual cues for autonomous vehicle operation. Matrix work lamps provide optimal illumination of the work area while preventing glare for drivers and nearby machinery. Signal lights integrated into the system can indicate autonomous driving mode or display battery charge status, meeting legal requirements for autonomous operations.

Sustainable and Modular Sensor Solutions

FORVIA HELLA will also showcase its leadership in sensor technology with the Universal Angular Sensor (UAS). The UAS operates without magnets, eliminating the need for rare earth materials, and leverages FORVIA HELLA’s high-precision CIPOS inductive sensor technology, which has been validated in over a billion applications globally. This magnet-free design reduces environmental impact and simplifies regulatory compliance, offering manufacturers greater flexibility and planning security.

The UAS features a multi-channel structure, enabling redundant measurements that meet the highest safety standards, including ASIL D, and supports autonomous applications. This makes the sensor ideal for tasks such as steering position determination in tractors and agricultural machinery, hydraulic cylinder monitoring on harvesters, and flap position control in stables and warehouses. Its versatility and reliability underscore FORVIA HELLA’s commitment to sustainable, high-performance solutions for agriculture.

Comprehensive Product Portfolio for Modern Agriculture

In addition to the radar-assisted turn system, Smart Link Concept, and UAS sensors, FORVIA HELLA will present an extensive portfolio of products tailored to the rigorous requirements of agricultural operations. Highlights include OctaLane headlights, S-series work lamps, and LeanLED 2.0 rear lights, as well as select innovations from the electrics and electronics segments. These solutions are designed for durability, low maintenance, and robust performance, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently even under challenging field conditions.

By combining cutting-edge lighting, sensor, and electronic technologies, FORVIA HELLA is driving the next generation of agricultural machinery toward greater safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Visitors to Agritechnica 2025 will have the opportunity to experience firsthand how the company’s innovations are shaping the future of farming and enabling smarter, safer, and more productive operations.
