FIDO AI Ltd, a leading software company leveraging AI to improve global water resilience through non-revenue water (NRW) reduction and data-driven insights, has announced the successful completion of its Series B funding round. The investment was led by CRH Ventures, the venture capital arm of CRH, a global leader in building materials solutions. CRH Ventures joins existing investors SKion Water GmbH, Emerald Technology Ventures, and others in supporting FIDO’s mission.
This new funding will enable FIDO AI to scale its operations, accelerate commercial success in global water management, and explore strategic opportunities in adjacent markets such as building, equipment, and infrastructure.
Victoria Edwards, CEO of FIDO AI, expressed her excitement about the partnership: “CRH Ventures’ investment builds on our existing collaboration with CRH through Oldcastle Infrastructure in the U.S. This funding secures our future growth and allows us to reach markets that were previously difficult to access, advancing our goal of eliminating water scarcity globally.”
Edwards highlighted the significance of the CRH partnership, positioning FIDO AI as a smart water management leader: “This strategic relationship places us in the right ecosystem to drive innovation in water resilience, infrastructure maintenance, management, and sustainability.”
Eduardo Gomez, Head of CRH Ventures, emphasized the alignment between FIDO’s technology and CRH’s goals: “Our investment in FIDO reflects our commitment to supporting cutting-edge solutions. FIDO’s AI technology perfectly complements our focus on sustainable innovations for the built environment, especially through Oldcastle Infrastructure, to drive transformative changes in water management.”
Jason Jackson, President of Oldcastle Infrastructure, echoed this sentiment: “This investment strengthens our mission to leverage innovative technologies in advancing critical infrastructure solutions. Together with FIDO, we aim to reduce water loss and evolve leak detection technology for a more sustainable future.”
FIDO’s volumetric AI, introduced in 2019, has emerged as a game-changer in smart water management, offering precise data on water leak detection through acoustic analysis. Beyond leak detection, FIDO’s AI is now being used for proactive watershed-level management and corporate water stewardship through its FIDO Plus program.
FIDO Plus, developed in collaboration with Oldcastle Infrastructure, allows corporations to support the deployment of FIDO’s AI in local utility networks, helping prioritize and verify the repair of significant leaks. The saved water is accounted for using Volumetric Water Benefit (VWB) accounting, a methodology recognized by the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), contributing to watershed replenishment and helping companies meet environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
Multinational corporations, including Microsoft, are already incorporating FIDO Plus into their global water stewardship programs, with projects in locations such as London, Mexico, and the Colorado River basin.
