NASCAR: Fastenal & RFK Racing Celebrate 15-Year Partnership Milestone
RFK Racing and primary partner Fastenal Company are set to celebrate their remarkable 15th season of collaboration in 2025. This milestone makes Fastenal one of the longest-tenured sponsors in NASCAR history. The partnership, which began in 2010, has evolved into a cornerstone of RFK Racing’s journey in the sport, with Fastenal playing an integral role both on and off the track.
Fastenal initially joined forces with RFK Racing as a primary partner for the legendary NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Carl Edwards. Since then, the partnership has grown, with Fastenal now serving as the primary sponsor for NASCAR Champion Chris Buescher and his No. 17 Ford. This enduring collaboration not only highlights the loyalty and shared vision between the two organizations but also cements Fastenal’s position as the longest-tenured brand among RFK Racing’s extensive family of partners.
A Celebrated Partnership
“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate 15 years with Fastenal,” said Steve Newmark, President of RFK Racing. “They have been an integral part of our journey, both on and off the track, and their ‘Blue Team’ has become part of the RFK family. They’re integrated into everything we do, and their supply chain expertise is critical to our ability to build and maintain fast race cars. We look forward to building on this strong foundation to achieve even greater things together in the years to come.”
Fastenal’s CEO, Dan Florness, echoed these sentiments. “Our partnership with RFK Racing has elevated and strengthened the Fastenal brand with millions of NASCAR fans. It’s more than just putting our name on the car. We work closely with their team to achieve our marketing goals, and they rely on our team for supply chain expertise. We’re excited to continue the collaboration in 2025.”
Looking Forward to 2025
Fastenal’s iconic blue paint scheme will continue to make a strong statement on the track in 2025. Chris Buescher will lead the charge in the No. 17 Ford, racing under the Fastenal banner in most events throughout the season. Additionally, Fastenal plans to expand the presence of its Body Guard® brand, which will feature prominently in the 2025 season. The vibrant orange and black Body Guard® paint scheme will appear on all three RFK Racing entries, driven by Buescher, team co-owner Brad Keselowski (No. 6), and new team member Ryan Preece (No. 60).
This expanded branding initiative reflects the growth and versatility of Fastenal’s offerings, as well as the dynamic nature of its partnership with RFK Racing. The inclusion of the Body Guard® brand is a testament to the mutual commitment between the two organizations to innovate and engage NASCAR fans.
A Legacy of Success
Over the years, Fastenal and RFK Racing have achieved significant milestones together. Carl Edwards’ partnership with Fastenal brought immediate success, culminating in the No. 60 Xfinity Series team’s owners’ championship in 2011. Fastenal’s sponsorship was also instrumental in Chris Buescher’s 2015 Xfinity Series championship win with the No. 60 car.
In addition to Edwards and Buescher, other notable drivers who have piloted Fastenal-sponsored cars include NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Matt Kenseth, Greg Biffle, Trevor Bayne, Bubba Wallace, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who drove the No. 17 Fastenal Ford in the Cup Series from 2015 to 2019. These drivers have all contributed to the legacy of the Fastenal-RFK partnership, showcasing the brand’s enduring presence in NASCAR’s top tiers.
Fastenal-sponsored RFK cars have made nearly 300 starts since the partnership began in 2010. During this time, the collaboration has resulted in 10 victories, 87 top-10 finishes, and two NASCAR championships, underscoring the strength and longevity of their alliance.
Behind the Partnership
What sets the RFK Racing and Fastenal partnership apart is the depth of integration between the two organizations. Fastenal’s supply chain expertise has been a critical component in RFK’s success on the track. The “Blue Team” doesn’t just bring sponsorship dollars—they bring strategic value, providing RFK with essential resources and operational support that directly impact performance.
“Fastenal’s involvement goes far beyond branding,” said Newmark. “Their team has become an essential part of our operations, ensuring that we have the tools and resources necessary to compete at the highest level.”
This synergy has not only bolstered RFK Racing’s competitiveness but has also allowed Fastenal to leverage its NASCAR partnership to reach a massive and passionate fanbase. The collaboration has helped Fastenal achieve its marketing goals while deepening its connection with NASCAR’s loyal audience.
Celebrating 15 Years
As RFK Racing and Fastenal prepare to celebrate their 15th anniversary, both organizations are taking time to reflect on their shared accomplishments and set their sights on an even brighter future. The partnership has weathered the challenges of a competitive sport, evolved to meet new demands, and remained steadfast in its commitment to excellence.
