Emerson invites U.S. college students pursuing degrees in science, technology, and engineering to vie for the 2024-2025 Discrete Automation Scholarship. This merit-based award grants two deserving students $5,000 each, along with eligibility for an Emerson internship and $1,000 research grants to bolster their schools’ engineering programs. Applications are open until July 31, 2024.
The scholarship aims to support individuals venturing into STEM professions critical to discrete automation applications, including engineering, instrumentation, systems, and automation. By providing financial assistance and recognition, Emerson fosters emerging talents poised to lead in their respective fields.
Andy Duffy, Vice President of Sales for Emerson’s discrete automation business and Chairman of the Board of the Valve Manufacturers Association of America, underscores Emerson’s commitment to nurturing future STEM leaders. He states, “Our Discrete Automation Scholarship reflects our dedication to cultivating innovative minds ready to drive advancements in technology and engineering.”
Emerson has a longstanding history of sponsoring the scholarship program and supporting student-led initiatives. Their engagement extends to hosting “We Love STEM” events that engage thousands of students worldwide.
Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents and have completed at least their first year of a bachelor’s degree program or be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited U.S. educational institution.
