In an exciting collaboration with Ram, Cummins has unveiled its most advanced diesel pickup engine yet—the 2025 6.7-liter Turbo Diesel engine system. This cutting-edge engine is designed to deliver superior power, performance, and efficiency, marking a significant leap in Cummins’ long-standing tradition of excellence. The partnership between Cummins and Stellantis, which also extends through 2030, ensures that Ram trucks will continue to benefit from the innovation and reliability that have made them iconic in the pickup world.

This next-generation engine system will power the newly announced 2025 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty Pickups, as well as the Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500 Chassis Cab trucks. With this new release, Cummins is setting new industry benchmarks for power, efficiency, and durability, building on more than 100 years of engineering excellence.

The new 6.7L Turbo Diesel engine is engineered to deliver exceptional performance, boasting high-output ratings of 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb.-ft. of torque for Pickup models, and 360 horsepower with 800 lb.-ft. of torque for Chassis Cabs. Thanks to its advanced engineering, this engine ensures that every Ram Heavy Duty truck is equipped to handle demanding tasks with ease, whether for work or recreation.

The next-gen 6.7L engine is paired with a brand-new 8-speed transmission, delivering optimal power, responsiveness, and drivability. These improvements ensure that the engine not only meets the high expectations of drivers but also exceeds them with refined performance in a wide range of conditions.

In addition, noise, vibration, and harshness levels have been reduced thanks to the integration of helical valve train synchronizing gears. These gears contribute to a quieter and more refined ride, even when the truck is under heavy load, further improving the overall driving experience.

The 2025 Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel is equipped with advanced emissions air handling systems that include a new airflow management design. Coupled with a high-pressure fuel delivery system featuring top-feed dry service injectors and a new fuel pump, this engine ensures optimized performance and greater fuel efficiency.
