Cirrus Unveils 2025 SR Series G7 Australis® Edition Aircraft

Cirrus Aircraft has unveiled the 2025 SR Series G7 Australis® Edition, a meticulously designed and configured aircraft built to cater to the unique needs of Australian pilots. This marks the third release of the Australis Edition, which has been developed with a strong focus on the challenging climate and remote flight conditions often encountered in Australian aviation.

“We are thrilled to bring the 2025 Australis Edition to Australian pilots,” said Zean Nielsen, CEO of Cirrus Aircraft. “This latest edition builds upon the design elements of previous models while integrating all the advanced features of the SR Series G7. The SR Series continues to be a trusted choice for long-distance travel across Australian airports, offering enhanced safety and peace of mind, especially with the inclusion of our Cirrus Airframe Parachute System® (CAPS®).”

The SR Series has been the top-selling high-performance single-engine piston aircraft for 22 consecutive years, accumulating a remarkable 18 million total flight hours across its global fleet. The G7 model of the SR Series stands out for its extensive interior redesign, providing pilots with improved comfort and usability. It also introduces Perspective Touch+ avionics, reducing pilot workload and enhancing situational awareness, ensuring a safer and more efficient flight experience.

Australis Edition Features

The 2025 Australis Edition continues to be tailored specifically for Australian pilots, offering an array of features designed to optimize performance in the region’s demanding conditions. As with previous editions, the aircraft includes the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System® (CAPS®), providing an added layer of safety that has become synonymous with Cirrus Aircraft. The new model also boasts air conditioning, UV-protected windows, and several advanced upgrades that come with the SR Series G7.

Among the notable upgrades are dual touchscreen controllers, 14-inch high-resolution displays, and the inclusion of stick shakers for enhanced safety. The Australis Edition also includes several luxury and practical accessories, such as All-Weather Floor Liners with the Australis logo, sunshades for increased comfort, a Garmin® inReach Mini for enhanced communication, and premium aviation subscriptions, ensuring that pilots have everything they need for a seamless flying experience.

Australis Edition Aesthetics

The 2025 SR Series G7 Australis Edition features a striking premium interior, designed with bolstered leather seats and exclusive Australis accents throughout. This luxurious touch is balanced with a practical and stylish exterior. The aircraft comes with an exclusive two-tone finish, offering the most accent color options available on any SR Series model.
