Cessna Grand Caravan EX Unveils New Executive Interiors to Elevate Comfort and Mission Versatility
Textron Aviation has unveiled a trio of new executive interior design options for its iconic Cessna Grand Caravan EX, further enhancing the aircraft’s appeal for both personal and professional use. Starting this month, customers can now choose from three additional cabin aesthetics — Lunar, Obsidian, and Saddle Sport — to personalize the interior of their aircraft. These options join the existing Canyon and Savanna schemes, offering buyers more standard customization choices than ever before.
This latest upgrade highlights Textron Aviation’s continued effort to blend form and function, catering to operators who want a refined and comfortable flying experience while also maintaining the Grand Caravan EX’s robust utility. Premium versions of each new interior configuration are also available, featuring upgraded touches like quilted seat stitching and plush carpet, all designed to elevate the cabin’s luxury appeal.
Elevating Passenger Experience Through Customization
According to Lannie O’Bannion, senior vice president of Sales & Marketing at Textron Aviation, the new interiors are a direct response to customer input. “The Cessna Caravan family continues to prove its excellence as one of the most versatile aircraft in the industry,” said O’Bannion. “Drawing from direct conversations with customers, these cabin enhancements are designed to elevate comfort and provide a more enjoyable cabin experience.”
The improvements go beyond aesthetics. All Grand Caravan EX aircraft will now come standard with eight USB-C charging stations embedded in the cabin sidewalls. Each station offers two ports, giving passengers a total of 16 charging points. This ensures that all travelers can keep their devices powered and stay connected throughout the flight.
Celebrating 40 Years of the Caravan Legacy
These upgrades arrive as Textron Aviation celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Cessna Caravan family — a line of aircraft known for their durability, reliability, and mission versatility. A special 40th anniversary Grand Caravan EX demonstrator will be showcased at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2025, from July 21 to 27, at Textron Aviation’s static display booth (#78). This demonstrator will feature the new Lunar Premium interior as well as the upgraded USB-C outlets, giving visitors a firsthand look at the new design direction.
In addition, the aircraft will don a distinctive commemorative paint scheme, underscoring the model’s rich heritage and continuous evolution since its debut in 1984.
Technological Enhancements Meet Rugged Utility
Beyond the stylish new interiors, the Grand Caravan EX continues to offer advanced technological features. The cockpit is outfitted with Garmin’s G1000 NXi avionics suite, which includes state-of-the-art navigation, safety, and connectivity capabilities. These avionics are designed to simplify operations for pilots while maximizing situational awareness and flight precision.
Textron Aviation previously announced enhancements to the flight deck in 2024, and the integration of USB-C charging ports complements that initiative, ensuring that both pilots and passengers enjoy a modern and connected experience.
Proven Performance Across a Global Mission Set
The Grand Caravan EX is renowned for its capability to perform in diverse environments and mission profiles. Since the Caravan family was introduced, over 3,100 aircraft have been delivered to operators in more than 100 countries. With more than 25 million flight hours logged worldwide, the aircraft serves a wide range of roles — from commuter airlines and cargo carriers to humanitarian organizations and government operators.
Equipped with an 867-horsepower Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-140 engine, the Grand Caravan EX boasts a strong rate of climb at 1,275 feet per minute, along with a rugged airframe designed to handle short, unimproved airstrips. These characteristics make it an ideal platform for operations in remote or challenging regions.
Its reliability, versatility, and low operating costs have made it a favorite among regional airlines, charter services, and special missions operators alike. Whether transporting cargo across islands or flying VIPs into mountain resorts, the Grand Caravan EX remains one of the most flexible single-engine turboprops in the market.
