Airbus Helicopters Secures Deal for Six H145M Helicopters with Brunei Ministry of Defence Airbus Helicopters has finalized an agreement with Brunei’s Ministry of Defence for the procurement of six H145M helicopters.
Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, expressed gratitude for the selection of the H145M to bolster the Royal Brunei Air Force’s operational capacities. He emphasized the aircraft’s esteemed reputation for high performance and adaptability, anticipating a significant improvement in Brunei’s operational readiness.
These newly acquired H145Ms will replace Brunei’s aging BO105 fleet, elevating the air force’s capabilities across various missions such as close air support and aerial surveillance.
The H145M stands out as a versatile multi-role military helicopter, globally recognized for its diverse mission capabilities. With a cumulative flight time exceeding seven million hours within the H145 family worldwide, it’s a preferred choice for armed forces, air units, and law enforcement agencies tackling demanding assignments. Brunei joins a list of nations including Cyprus, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Serbia, and Thailand in opting for the H145M.
Powered by two Safran Arriel 2E engines and equipped with full authority digital engine control (FADEC), the H145M ensures robust performance. Its Helionix digital avionics suite, coupled with advanced flight data management, incorporates a high-performance 4-axis autopilot, significantly reducing pilot workload during missions. Moreover, the helicopter’s notably low acoustic footprint positions it as the quietest in its class.
