Acubed, Airbus’ research and innovation center based in Silicon Valley, has appointed Dr. Victoria Coleman as CEO, effective July 15, 2024. Dr. Coleman will also assume the role of Airbus’ Head of Research & Technology for North America. With a wealth of leadership experience, notably as the former Chief Scientist of the United States Air Force, Dr. Coleman is poised to enhance Acubed’s and Airbus’ technological advancements. Reporting to Robin Hayes, Chairman and CEO of Airbus Americas, Inc., and the Board of Directors of Acubed, Dr. Coleman will play a pivotal role in driving aerospace innovation, particularly in AI and autonomy.
Dr. Coleman’s impressive career spans 35 years across cybersecurity, computer science, and emerging technologies. Her tenure as Chief Scientist of the U.S. Air Force involved advising top leadership and addressing critical technical challenges. Previously, she led groundbreaking programs at DARPA and held executive roles at leading organizations like Atlas AI P.B.C. and SRI International. Dr. Coleman’s appointment underscores Airbus’ commitment to advancing aerospace technology through collaboration and innovation.
