Florent “ Flo ” Groberg as Vice President within the establishment’s Portfolio Strategy and OptimizationGroup.Captain Groberg’s fabled career with the U.S. Army included two deployments to Afghanistan. In August 2012, while guarding a high-position US-Afghan delegation, he was oppressively injured trying to stop a self-murder bomber. His conduct disintegrated the attack of an alternate bomber and saved numerous lives. His heroism on that day was honored in 2015 when he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, the loftiest military award for valor in the United States.

Before joining Microsoft, he held multitudinous positions at Boeing, including Director of Stagers Outreach, Chief of Staff for Commercial Aeroplanes, and Deputy VP and Business Director of Commercial and Marketing.
He also served as an Operations Officer for the Department of Defense, furnishing strategic advice and moxie to defense policymakers and military itineraries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. “ Recent global events have further underlined the need for invention and the part that technology can play in helping combat complex pitfalls, ” said Captain Groberg.
