AUTOVATE, the premier automotive retail conference, is thrilled to announce Peter Guber as the featured speaker for the 2024 event in Scottsdale. Guber, an entrepreneur, film producer, tech investor, and professional sports team owner, will address attendees at the 8th annual AUTOVATE conference, set for December 4-5 at the new Caesars Republic Scottsdale Hotel.
Founded by Cliff Banks of The Banks Report, AUTOVATE 2024 will bring together nearly 30 industry leaders to share insights on the intersection of investment, innovation, and automotive retail. Attendees will hear from progressive dealers, cutting-edge tech executives, forward-thinking startup founders, and visionary investors. “Our goal over the past eight years has been to create an event renowned for its dynamic content, exceptional venues, and impactful networking opportunities, which have facilitated nearly $2 billion in transactions,” said Cliff Banks, founder of The Banks Report and AUTOVATE. “We’re excited to add Peter Guber to the agenda. His vast experience in Hollywood and sports will offer valuable insights for dealers, investors, and entrepreneurs.”
With over 40 years of experience, Peter Guber has shaped the entertainment industry, from his early years at Columbia Pictures to his leadership at Sony Pictures and Mandalay Entertainment. Guber’s ventures extend into sports, where he is a co-owner of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, MLB’s Los Angeles Dodgers, and MLS’s Los Angeles Football Club. His impact also spans esports through aXiomatic and his role as a University of California regent. “I’m excited to speak at AUTOVATE,” Guber said. “It’s a unique platform where innovation and investment intersect with the future of automotive retail. I look forward to sharing my experiences and inspiring attendees to think creatively and strategically in their ventures.”
AUTOVATE offers a first-class experience with high-level content in a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for executives and investors in automotive retail. The conference format includes TED Talk-style Q&A sessions, where the audience can engage with speakers through text. Attendees will gain insights into the future of their businesses and the industry at large.
This year’s speakers include Gary Gilchrist, 2024 NADA chairman; Eric Denlinger, managing director at TD Cowen; and Alexi Venneri, co-founder and CEO of DAS Technology. Topics will cover the election’s impact on automotive investment, opportunities for dealers, and the inside story on major industry deals. The full agenda, including a Q&A with Guber, is available on the website.
This is probably the best conference I’ve ever attended, said Chris Walsh, president of Reynolds and Reynolds. “I feel like I’ve learned more in the last two hours than in the last two years.”
The conference will take place at the luxurious Caesars Republic Scottsdale Hotel, Caesars Entertainment’s first non-gaming hotel. Sponsors include DAS Technology, Reynolds and Reynolds, TD Cowen, Cars.com, FM Capital, and others. Registration is now open at autovate.org, and with limited space for 150 attendees, the event is nearly sold out
