Hyundai Motor Commemorates 100 Million Vehicle Production Milestone with ‘One Step Further’ Exhibition

Hyundai Motor Company is commemorating a significant milestone: the production of 100 million vehicles globally. To mark this achievement, the company has unveiled the ‘One Step Further’ exhibition at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul. This exhibition not only highlights the key factors that contributed to reaching this remarkable production milestone but also expresses Hyundai’s gratitude to the customers who have supported them throughout their journey.

This exhibition follows the celebration of the 100 millionth vehicle, held at Hyundai Motor’s Ulsan Plant on September 30, where the milestone vehicle, an IONIQ 5, was delivered to its new owner. This event symbolized the brand’s appreciation for its customers’ unwavering support.

Spanning five floors, the exhibition begins on the first floor, which showcases Hyundai’s journey to producing 100 million units. Highlights include the Cortina Mark 2, Hyundai’s first production model, and the Pony, the company’s first independently developed vehicle.

On the second floor, visitors can explore how Hyundai has positively impacted customers’ lives and trace the history of its major production facilities, illustrating the evolution of its manufacturing processes over the years.

The third floor focuses on three iconic models that played a crucial role in achieving the 100 million vehicle milestone: the first-generation SONATA, the first-generation ELANTRA, and the Scoupe. These vehicles embody Hyundai Motor’s commitment to continuously pushing boundaries and striving for excellence.

The first-generation SONATA exemplified the company’s dedication to craftsmanship and quality. The first-generation ELANTRA, a consistent bestseller, laid the groundwork for Hyundai’s production capabilities with the introduction of an automated production line. Meanwhile, the Scoupe, featuring the Alpha series engine—Hyundai’s first proprietary engine—pioneered the sports car segment in Korea, showcasing the company’s engineering expertise.

The fourth and fifth floors showcase Hyundai’s contemporary SUV lineup, including the SANTA FE, KONA, and INSTER, as well as its electric vehicle lineup featuring the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 5 N, and IONIQ 6. This final section looks ahead to Hyundai Motor’s future as it transitions from a traditional automaker to a provider of smart mobility solutions.

The exhibition is a testament to Hyundai Motor’s steadfast commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and a future of continued growth and success. The event runs from October 10 to November 10, and admission is free for all visitors.
