BigBear.ai has announced the appointment of Carl Napoletano as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. Napoletano, who joined the company in 2020, will continue to report directly to CEO Mandy Long.

Napoletano previously held various senior leadership roles at BigBear.ai, most recently serving as Vice President of Special Projects. In this capacity, he managed the strategic integration of significant acquisitions, including Pangiam.
Before joining BigBear.ai, Carl was Principal and Senior Vice President at ProModel Corporation, where he spearheaded the development and delivery of vital decision support solutions for the Department of Defense.

Carl Napoletano most recently served as Vice President of Special Projects at BigBear.ai, leading the integration of key acquisitions, including Pangiam. He also directed BigBear.ai’s portfolio of critical decision support solutions, serving over 300,000 users across the U.S. Army and various government agencies. Before his tenure at BigBear.ai, Carl held the position of Principal and Senior Vice President at ProModel Corporation, where he led the creation of mission-critical decision support solutions for the Department of Defense and managed the 2020 acquisition of ProModel Government Solutions by BigBear.ai. Additionally, he has held leadership roles in Engineering and New Business Development at General Dynamics Electric Boat, focusing on the delivery of combat systems for nuclear submarines. Carl holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
