Comprehensive Service Packages for Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 by Daimler Truck Financial Services

Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTFS) is showcasing its integrated service solutions for emission-free transportation at the 2024 International Motor Show (IAA) in Hanover. The spotlight is on the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, the first fully electric long-haul truck. DTFS supports customers in their transition to sustainable transport with customized service packages, which include financing, insurance, and the funding of charging infrastructure.

Along with traditional leasing, DTFS offers an Integrated Service Leasing option, which covers vehicle leasing, the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Complete service contract, and the digital Mercedes-Benz Trucks Uptime service. Throughout the vehicle’s lifespan, customers pay a fixed monthly installment with a guaranteed residual value, ensuring there are no unexpected costs. The eActros 600’s low downtime and maintained condition allow customers to focus on their core business operations without worrying about vehicle upkeep.

“Our goal is to partner with Daimler Truck to make the shift to sustainable transport as seamless as possible for our customers,” says Stephan Unger, CEO of Daimler Truck Financial Services. “We offer appealing financing solutions to ease the adoption of electric vehicles. With our comprehensive service bundles, customers can focus on their primary business, while we handle the logistics.”

Under the new “TruckCharge” brand, Daimler Truck integrates its services related to e-infrastructure and electric truck charging. This includes consultation, infrastructure management, and operation of electrified depots for freight forwarders and industrial companies. The Depot Charging service covers consultation, hardware sales, technical support, and financing options for charging infrastructure via DTFS. Additionally, Daimler Truck-certified partners can manage installation upon request. The goal is to ensure seamless charging and maximum vehicle uptime. Initial pilot projects have already been launched in Germany, with further rollouts planned across Europe.

“Together, we are transforming the transport sector by focusing on integrated service bundles that simplify the transition to electric vehicles,” emphasizes Unger.

Launched in December 2021 as part of the Daimler Truck Group, DTFS now operates in 17 countries worldwide, with expansion into additional markets planned. With approximately 1,900 employees, it is one of the largest group-owned financial service providers for commercial vehicles. DTFS offers leasing, financing, and insurance for trucks and buses from the Daimler Group. By the end of 2023, its global contract volume reached €28.3 billion.
