Foxlink, a global leader in electronics manufacturing, and its subsidiary Shinfox Energy have teamed up with cloud solutions provider Ubitus K.K. to strengthen Taiwan’s position at the forefront of generative AI and green energy. Supported by endorsements from Taiwanese government officials and key technology companies such as NVIDIA and Intel, this new collaboration, known as Ubilink.AI, aims to set a new benchmark for integrating advanced AI technology with sustainable energy solutions.
Ubilink.AI will utilize Foxlink’s expansive manufacturing network and Shinfox Energy’s renewable energy resources—comprising solar, onshore and offshore wind, and hydropower—to support Ubitus’s generative AI technologies. Ubitus is renowned for its cutting-edge AI products, including large language models, image generation software, and industry-specific solutions like AI-powered news anchors. The synergy of expertise from these three leading sectors aims to establish Ubilink.AI as the largest and most influential green AI center in Asia.
T.C. Gou, President and Chairman of Foxlink, remarked, “The future of AI hinges not only on technological advancements but also on our commitment to environmental stewardship. Ubilink.AI represents a significant leap forward by bringing together the best in manufacturing, green energy, and AI. We are excited to partner with Ubitus to usher in a new era of sustainable and responsible AI development and leadership from Taiwan.”
The initial phase of the Ubilink.AI initiative will feature 128 Asus AI servers outfitted with 1,024 NVIDIA H100 GPUs, expected to be operational by the end of 2024. Plans are also underway to further expand computing power, with a goal of incorporating a total of 10,240 GPUs by 2025.
Ubilink.AI is poised to enhance Taiwan’s global competitiveness, showcasing a strong commitment to technological innovation and environmental responsibility.
