The announcement was made by Darlene Nicosia, Hearthside’s Chief Executive Officer. Hewitt brings over twenty-five years of experience to the company’s established leadership team, which is dedicated to innovation, exceptional customer service, and fostering strong relationships with customers and suppliers. In his role, Hewitt will oversee all financial operations and provide strategic guidance to enhance profitability and facilitate growth.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nick to Hearthside and capitalize on his expertise as we pursue our financial goals,” said Darlene Nicosia. “Nick’s extensive background, business acumen, and proven track record of financial excellence in diverse industries will propel Hearthside towards future success. His leadership skills, combined with a commitment to team development, align seamlessly with our culture and vision. We are confident that Nick will be instrumental in our ongoing achievements and expansion, and we eagerly anticipate the strategic insights and guidance he will contribute to our team.”
Previously, Hewitt held the position of Executive Vice President and CFO at Instant Brands. Prior to that, he served as Director of Finance, Food at Marks and Spencer, a prominent British retailer, and as CFO for North America at Ardagh, one of the world’s largest packaging companies.
“I am thrilled to join Hearthside at this pivotal moment for the company,” said Hewitt. “I am energized to be part of the leading contract food manufacturer dedicated to innovation and client satisfaction. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues as we continue to solidify our position as the industry’s most trusted partner.”
Hewitt succeeds Dan Coats, who previously served as interim CFO. Nicosia expressed gratitude for Coats’ steadfast commitment to Hearthside’s financial well-being, noting that he will continue to support Hewitt during the transition. “I am thankful for Dan’s invaluable contributions, and I anticipate his ongoing leadership and impact at Hearthside,” said Nicosia.
