SolarEdge Begins Shipping U.S.-Made Residential Solar Inverters to Europe, Introduces Streamlined Product Portfolio

U.S.-Manufactured Residential Inverters Shipped to Europe

SolarEdge, a global leader in smart energy technology, today announced a major milestone in its international manufacturing and export strategy with the shipment of single-phase residential inverter products from its Austin, Texas facility to key European markets, marking the first exports of U.S.-manufactured Single SKU residential inverter products to Europe in late 2025, with initial deliveries reaching customers in Italy, France, and the Netherlands, while shipments of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar products from the company’s Florida facility remain on track to begin in early 2026.

Single SKU Concept Simplifies Solar Deployment

Central to this milestone is SolarEdge’s innovative “single SKU” concept, marketed in Europe as the MultiRange concept, which consolidates all power classes into a single inverter and part number, significantly simplifying logistics, inventory management, and installation processes for installers, distributors, and partners across the region.

Integration with Future SolarEdge Nexis Solutions

The Single SKU architecture will also be a core feature of the upcoming SolarEdge Nexis solution, supporting both single-phase and three-phase residential applications, while future inverter models designed for the commercial and industrial segment will also incorporate fewer SKUs to further streamline system design and deployment.

Executive Perspective on European Expansion

“These shipments reflect our commitment to delivering U.S.-manufactured excellence to customers around the world,” said Pascal de Boer, General Manager for Europe at SolarEdge, adding that the solution combines power, intelligence, and simplicity while helping installers and distributors reduce operational complexity and increase flexibility, an increasingly critical advantage in fast-evolving European solar markets, positioning the milestone as a significant step toward accelerating long-term business growth across the region.

Smart, Backup-Ready Residential Energy Systems

At the core of the system, SolarEdge ONE EMS acts as a centralized platform that intelligently monitors, controls, and optimizes energy flows across the home. By coordinating solar generation, battery storage, household consumption, and grid interaction in real time, the system helps maximize self-consumption of solar energy while reducing dependence on the grid. This intelligent energy orchestration allows homeowners to prioritize energy usage, shift loads to periods of high solar production, and improve overall energy efficiency without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

The integration of electric vehicle (EV) charging further expands the value of SolarEdge’s residential solution. With EV charging seamlessly managed through the same EMS platform, homeowners can align vehicle charging schedules with solar production or off-peak grid pricing, reducing energy costs and supporting more sustainable mobility. This unified approach eliminates the need for multiple disconnected systems, simplifying installation, monitoring, and long-term system management.

Designed to be future-ready, SolarEdge’s residential inverter systems support a wide range of advanced smart energy features and grid services. These capabilities enable participation in demand response programs, dynamic energy pricing schemes, and future virtual power plant (VPP) initiatives as regulations and market structures evolve. By supporting two-way communication with utilities and grid operators, the system can contribute to grid stability while creating new value streams for homeowners.

Together, backup-ready hardware and the SolarEdge ONE EMS provide a flexible, scalable, and intelligent foundation for the smart homes of today and tomorrow, empowering homeowners to take greater control of their energy usage while supporting the broader transition to a more resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem.

Building on Earlier Global Export Success

The expansion of SolarEdge’s U.S.-based manufacturing capacity for international markets builds on earlier export achievements, which began with the company’s first shipments to Australia in the third quarter of 2025, reinforcing its strategy to serve global demand through domestically manufactured products.
