DUBAI—RHI Magnesita, the world’s leading supplier of high-grade refractory products, systems, and solutions, has reinforced its presence in the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META) region with the launch of a new business unit headquartered in Dubai. The inauguration of the regional office marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy and highlights its long-term commitment to customers across the region.
The new office was officially opened by Gustavo Franco, Global Chief Customer Officer of RHI Magnesita, alongside Hakimuddin Ali, Regional President for the META region. The event was attended by senior executives and representatives from key customer industries, including steel, cement, and other heavy industrial sectors.
Designed to be more than a conventional corporate office, the Dubai headquarters will serve as a central regional hub for coordination, customer engagement, and collaboration across META markets. It will bring together sales, commercial, technical, and operational teams, enabling closer alignment and faster response to customer needs throughout the region.
Speaking at the inauguration, Hakimuddin Ali emphasized the importance of local presence combined with global expertise. “The META region continues to evolve rapidly, and our customers expect strong local engagement supported by global capabilities. The opening of our Dubai office reflects our commitment to being closer to our customers, strengthening collaboration across the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa, and building a platform for long-term growth and partnership,” he said.
The META region represents a vital pillar within RHI Magnesita’s global footprint, as customers increasingly seek reliable partners capable of delivering consistent performance, supply security, and long-term operational stability. Türkiye, in particular, plays a central role in the company’s regional strategy. RHI Magnesita operates an established manufacturing network in the country, including refractory production facilities and a magnesite mine located in Eskişehir and Söğüt.
