FIH Secures ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Certification, Strengthening Commitment to Global Integrity and Governance
FIH Mobile Limited, a subsidiary of Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), has reinforced its reputation as a company dedicated to transparency, ethics, and sustainable governance by officially obtaining the ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management Systems Certificate in 2025. This achievement marks FIH as the first subsidiary within Hon Hai Technology Group to earn such recognition, underscoring its leadership role in upholding global anti-bribery and anti-corruption standards.
The certification was the result of close collaboration between FIH and Ernst & Young (China) Advisory Limited’s Forensic & Integrity Services team. Together, the two organizations worked throughout 2024 to implement a comprehensive anti-bribery management framework that aligns with ISO 37001, the world’s benchmark standard for combating bribery risks. This recognition signals not only FIH’s success in creating a robust compliance structure but also its alignment with global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) trends, which increasingly require organizations to maintain transparency and ethical accountability.
Leadership Commitment to Integrity
Commenting on the milestone, Danny Tam, Chief Financial Officer of FIH, emphasized that integrity remains one of the company’s most important guiding values.
“Integrity is a core value at FIH. We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of transparency, establishing strong governance, and fostering a culture of ethics and dignity. With a zero-tolerance policy toward bribery and corruption, we have implemented a comprehensive anti-bribery management system aligned with our business goals. The ISO 37001 certificate reflects FIH’s firm response to global ESG trends and continuous enhancement of corporate governance.”
This clear stance signals to investors, partners, employees, and the wider community that FIH intends to remain proactive in maintaining strong corporate ethics.
External Recognition of Competitive Advantage
David Zhu, Director of Standard Solutions at BSI Greater China, also praised the company’s achievement. He noted that integrity is not only a reflection of good governance but also a direct driver of competitiveness in today’s global markets
“Integrity is a key indicator of a company’s competitiveness. FIH’s proactive implementation of ISO 37001 demonstrates how a systematic management framework can effectively prevent, detect, and address bribery risks. This not only showcases FIH’s culture of integrity and governance capabilities, but also creates a competitive advantage and lays a solid foundation for sustainable development.”
His remarks highlight the growing recognition that ethical practices do not merely safeguard against legal risks but also enhance brand reputation and long-term profitability.
Building a Comprehensive Anti-Bribery System
FIH’s approach to combating corruption is both systematic and proactive. The company has rolled out a comprehensive anti-corruption policy that evolves in tandem with its business operations. A dedicated Internal Audit Department carries out regular bribery risk assessments and updates preventive measures accordingly. One such tool is the Anti-Corruption Manual, published in both Chinese and English, ensuring accessibility and consistency across all levels of the organization.
All employees are also required to participate in annual anti-corruption training, ensuring that awareness of bribery risks and preventive practices remain strong throughout the workforce. Complementing this training is FIH’s Code of Conduct, which explicitly prohibits acts of corruption, bribery, embezzlement, and misconduct. These rules apply to directors, managers, and employees alike, reinforcing a culture of accountability at every level of the company.
Extending Integrity Across the Supply Chain
Recognizing that ethical practices must extend beyond internal operations, FIH has also implemented strict governance measures throughout its supply chain. The company regularly evaluates suppliers for business ethics risks, conducts due diligence checks, and performs targeted audits that focus on anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance.
In line with its zero-tolerance policy, suppliers found violating these standards are disqualified from new projects. This uncompromising stance ensures that FIH’s business ecosystem reflects the same integrity-driven values that define its internal culture.
Additionally, FIH has introduced a whistleblowing policy that empowers individuals—whether employees, suppliers, or third parties—to report unethical behavior via confidential channels, including designated hotlines. Importantly, whistleblowers are guaranteed protection from retaliation, discrimination, or adverse consequences, thereby encouraging transparency and accountability across the board.
Anti-Bribery as a Foundation for Sustainability
For FIH, fighting bribery is not just about compliance—it is a cornerstone of sustainable development. The company recognizes that long-term business success can only be built on trust, transparency, and ethical governance. Going forward, FIH plans to expand training programs, strengthen supplier engagement, and continually refine its anti-bribery management system to keep pace with global standards and industry best practices.
By embedding ethics into every layer of its operations, FIH is positioning itself not only as a leading player in smart manufacturing and technology solutions but also as a responsible global corporate citizen.
